Liberty in Schools

http://www.mytimesmyvoice.com/ , Delhi Times blog has sparked off a debate about physical touch by opposite sex in schools.Being a teacher and principal, I agree with modifications.

The society has changed so rapidly in past decade which never did in last hundred years. We elders will have to learn to come to terms with the present. There is little choice left.

But every generation owes a responsibility to the younger ones. We can’t just be onlookers and just let go everything. What happened in America is even difficult to believe for an Indian parent. According to a study 49% of the school going children have smoked marijuana (ganja) before class 12th. Some schools have started hiring snuffer dogs in the schools to check on students. There are metal detectors installed in most educational institutions to check guns.

That is a wealthy country but things seem to be going out of hands for parents and schools. We should learn lessons from them.

Think of a student who is not so attractive and has no girl friend to kiss him or jug. He would be mentally disturbed and may become a criminal to avenge his negligence. I think it is ok up to hand shakes.
